Cheaply made, and the pages didn't rip off easily, leaving pieces of the previous day's page behind.
I was a bit disappointed. As I don't speak Spanish at all, I was expecting a beginning vocabulary, like hello and thank you. Instead there are words I'm sure I'd never use while traveling in a Spanish speaking country. This is much more for someone who has had some experience in Spanish and is looking to expand their vocabulary.
Got this as a gift for my MIL who is an beginning-intermediate Spanish learner. She said the words are a bit challenging but that she prefers that to them being too simple.
There is supposed to be a free digital version for audio pronunciation which arrives several days late. The pronunciation guide should go from whole sentence to word to whole sentence. It does not.
Looking forward to learning a new word each day of this next year. And it doesn't look like they are only easy words either!
This is more like trying to learn a sentence a day. The words are wrapped in sentences which are all beyond me. I don't know if I'll ever need to know the word for a nail - well perhaps I will eventually. I thought it was one word, used in a sentence, with pronunciation. Nothing wrong with the calendar, just not where I'm at right now. I am putting this aside until next year, at which time I may find it a better "teacher"
Wife is learning Spanish. She says "I like that this calendar provides words and phrases that haven't yet come up in my Spanish classes. I transfer the ones that will be especially useful to flash cards. I'm using it out of sync with the calendar dates but it doesn't matter. A new word a day, on any day, is extremely helpful!"
